GreenCraft Summer 2014

I submitted a project to Somerset Studios last summer in the hopes that it might be published. I know sometimes they hold onto art work for a while but after seven months I started to wonder. After a few emails and phone calls come to find out they were trying to track ME down! My information got seperated from the project and they were ready to publishe my idea but had no way to get in touch with me. I stopped last night after work and picked up a couple of copies. Here is what I sent to them. Enjoy!

Beautiful pictures.

I made boxes to hold all the ATC's that I made in 2012. I made one card everyday.....CRAZY!

ATC Storage

I have been busy making ATC's for a few swaps that I am in on swap-bot.com. If you have not heard of swap-bot please take and look and you may find a swap that you are interested in joining. It is a little addictive! I started out with PC (post cards) swaps and moved quickly to ATC's. You may remember that I finished a year of ATC's in 2012 and I am always looking for a way to display and store the many that I make and trade. Here is what I came up with. I have a tutorial in the works and hope to post this week.

I found this box at Wal-Mart. It was made to hold the wax melts that you put in those pots and it was free. All the better for me. This was my practice box and I covered it in circus themed paper.

The best part is you can divide it into different sections for the different themes that you are making/collecting. The back of this one shows the journal prompt swap cards that I received and the front has my Catholic Saints, St. Patrick's Day and A-Z cards. I am trying to figure out some type of tab so I can write the series name and not have to hunt and peck.

New Journal Prompt Cards

Here are the first set of cards I received in the Art Journal Prompt Swap over on crafster.org.
So the swap was to put a journal prompt or art journal technique on one side and then your interpretation on the other. Red and random lines for the first two.

Dreams and colors cards 3 and 4.

Happy (almost) New Year

One of my resolutions for 2012 was to create an artist trading card everyday. Well, here they are-all 365 of them. I must confess that some days I completed 4 or 5 and some days none. Here are the first and last cards and a few from the middle.

ATC Update

As you know one of my art goals for this year centered around making one ATC everyday. I figured trying to get some creative time in everyday was a good thing. This is September, holy buckets, where did the time go! I did try everyday to make an ATC but found it easier and more time efficient to make several at once. I have not counted them recently but here is the box that they are housed in.

New additions.

SWAP ATC'S

Here are some new ATC's I received from a SWAP on crafster. It was a "work you theme" swap so my partners made a card from one of my three themes. I chose twisted circus , saint  and  steampunk. I love how different they all are.
